{"id":433,"date":"2020-03-05T18:13:29","date_gmt":"2020-03-05T18:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/?p=433"},"modified":"2020-03-05T18:13:40","modified_gmt":"2020-03-05T18:13:40","slug":"harissa-tabbouleh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/index.php\/2020\/03\/05\/harissa-tabbouleh\/","title":{"rendered":"Harissa Tabbouleh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-434\" src=\"https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/unnamed-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/unnamed-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/unnamed.jpg 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-block hidden-xs hidden-sm\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul class=\"ingredient-list\">\n<li>1 cup uncooked bulgur wheat, cooked according to package instruction and cooled<\/li>\n<li>400g cherry tomatoes quartered lengthways<\/li>\n<li>1 red onion, very thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>4 spring onions, including the green part, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 red pepper, diced<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cucumber, cored and diced, cored to remove softer parts<\/li>\n<li>4 tablespoons Italian parsley, chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons fresh mint, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon dried spearmint<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-header\">For the Dressing<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon good quality harissa paste<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\n<li>Juice of 1\/2 lemon<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon sugar<\/li>\n<li>Pinch sea salt<\/li>\n<li>Freshly ground black pepper, pinch for taste<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-header\">For the Garnish<\/li>\n<li>50g flaked almonds, toasted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>How to:<\/p>\n<p>1. Bring 2 cups of salted water to a boil, add 1 cup bulgar wheat, bring it to the boil get the lid on and simmer for 10 minutes. The water evaporates.<\/p>\n<p>2. Make the dressing: Separately mix together the harissa, lemon juice, oil, sugar, salt and pepper to make the dressing.<\/p>\n<p>3. Toast the almonds.<\/p>\n<p>4. Prepare the vegetables and herbs and add to a bowl: quarter the tomatoes, slice the onion, chop the spring onions, dice the pepper, dice the cucumber, chop the herbs and add the dried mint.<\/p>\n<p>5. Add the now cooked and cooled bulgar wheat to the vegetables and mix.<\/p>\n<p>6. Drizzle over the dressing and toss combine again.<\/p>\n<p>7. Tip onto round platter in a mountain shape.<\/p>\n<p>8.
