{"id":984,"date":"2020-09-30T17:50:47","date_gmt":"2020-09-30T17:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/?p=984"},"modified":"2020-09-30T17:50:47","modified_gmt":"2020-09-30T17:50:47","slug":"chickpea-curry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/index.php\/2020\/09\/30\/chickpea-curry\/","title":{"rendered":"Chickpea curry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-985\" src=\"https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/0Isr-A6OaOj9ABr96L08eT-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/0Isr-A6OaOj9ABr96L08eT-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/0Isr-A6OaOj9ABr96L08eT-768x1023.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tipsforahealthylife.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/0Isr-A6OaOj9ABr96L08eT.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Ingredients that we will use :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 medium onions<br \/>\n1 x 400 g tin chickpeas<br \/>\n1-2 fresh green chillies<br \/>\n2 tablespoons sunflower oil<br \/>\n1 teaspoon mustard seeds<br \/>\n\u00bd teaspoon asafoetida<!--more--><br \/>\n1-2 teaspoon sugar, optional<br \/>\n\u00bd x 400 g tin of tomatoes<br \/>\n1 teaspoon fresh ginger paste<br \/>\n1 teaspoon garlic paste<br \/>\n1 teaspoon green chilli paste<br \/>\n1 teaspoon red chilli powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon turmeric<br \/>\n1 teaspoon dhana jeera powder<br \/>\n1-2 teaspoon sugar, optional<br \/>\na few sprigs of fresh coriander<br \/>\n\u00bd teaspoon garam masala<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Prepare :\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Peel and finely chop the onions, drain and rinse the chickpeas and finely slice the green chillies.<\/p>\n<p>Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat and add the mustard seeds; once they\u2019re crackling, add the asafoetida. Stir in the onions and fry until transparent and turning golden at the edges.<\/p>\n<p>Chop and add the tinned tomatoes, then cook for another 5 minutes, before adding the ginger, garlic and green chilli pastes, the red chilli powder, dhana jeera, sugar (if using), and a pinch of sea salt. Keep stirring and cook for further 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Stir the chickpeas into the pan. Add 250ml water to make a thick sauce.
